Manufacturing Technician

•Worked in a clean room microchip manufacturing plant, making Pentium and Celeron processors using wet acid benches, Leica microscopes, and particle counters.

• Responsible for the maintenance and testing of all phosphoric, hydrochloric, and Trimix acid bays, as well as the silicone wafer counters and sorter machines.

• Passed all required electrical, mechanical, and chemical safety tests.

VIDEOSYNERGY STUDIO II

1999 – 2005

Programmer / Webmaster / Multimedia Consultant

•Consultant to VIDEOSYNERGY STUDIO II, a video feedback psychotherapy mental health provider. Performed hardware and software upgrades, recommended purchases, and provided personal computer training.

• Created website using MySQL, PHP, and CGI scripts running on a Linux web server. The database was needed to securely store and manipulate data from an extremely complex and large HTML form.

• Produced a four volume set of videos using Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Used the IEEE 1394 interface with a Sony digital video camera for the cleanest possible transfer to analog SVHS tapes.

• Designed customized graphics and logos for use on the web, in business correspondence, for cassette labels, and in printed advertisements.

•Responsible for the creation of all advertising material, including logos, table displays, booth handouts, brochures, business cards, stickers/labels, letterheads etc.

• Created paradiseaura.com.

• Was equal owner of this upstart in the beginning, but slowly building profits forced me to trade my half of the business in exchange for hourly pay.

•Assisted a day trading office by setting up an efficient multi-monitor stock trading station that displayed customized graphs concerning individual stocks and trade sectors.

• Created a secure inter-office network and trained employees on its use.

Worked the front desk, cash register, copying/collating/cutting/binding/printing machines, and various design and internet applications to assist our walk-in customers.

• Became even more adept at digital document creation by working with various color Xerox laser printers, Epson large format printers, and black & white copiers.

Answered phones and any questions from customers, filled sales orders, and researched all products and services to assist customers in their technology purchases.

• Serviced over 450 calls of various natures in rapid succession on average days.

PC / Network Technician

•Responsible for installation and maintenance of workstations, printers, software, and peripherals in networked environments for various clients in downtown Honolulu. Provided on-site technical support and training services whenever needed.

• Ran dozens of CAT5 network cables up into office ceilings and down through walls, then wired them to face plates.

• Reconfigured and moved over thirty workstations and printers to a newly renovated office which we had already wired, which enabled our largest client to smoothly relocate their entire office and staff.
